Bain Southeast Asia's Green Economy 2025 Report
Unlocking systems for growth and impact
Brief: Design the sixth edition of the Southeast Asia Green Economy Report to achieve a clean, professional, and strategically neutral visual style. The design must maintain high readability, use ample white space, large fonts, and minimal but impactful graphics. A consistent visual story should flow throughout the entire report (to be created in Powerpoint).
Partners: Bain, Temasek, GenZero, Standard Chartered, and Google.
Launch date: 5 May 2025
Approach: The approach was to create a holistic key visual and balance dense data with visual pauses through clean infographics, and system maps as milestones. Bold headlines and concise subtext introduced each section, preceded by clear context pages. Fonts, spacing, and motifs were kept consistent to ensure a seamless flow. Generous white space reduced visual fatigue, while icons were used only when they enhanced comprehension. Imagery reflected authentic Southeast Asian landscapes and people, avoiding generic stock. The palette was restrained: soft greens, muted blues, and neutrals with occasional vibrant accents. Charts and maps prioritised clarity over decoration, and system maps were presented as digestible hero pages.
